Adobe photoshop is a well known premium software for manipulating photo or images. Almost every designer out there uses adobe photoshop to beautify the image they capture or to create a new image. With a lot of features, there is no doubt that adobe photoshop is a software in every heart of designer.

With my zero knowledge on using those software, it would really make me reluctant to pay a huge sum of money to get the software in order to learn to use it to manipulate my image. But with lots of free software available on the internet, i have found one software that suits my need for the time being. Of course until i really mastered on using manipulating image software.

GIMP or also known as GNU Image Manipulation Program is a free software that is useful for tasks such as photo manipulating, image composition, and image authoring.

This image manipulating software are regularly updated to ensure that it can compete with all the premium software available on the market. The GIMP are developed by Linux / Unix. Although it is develop by Linux / Unix, but the same code are basically being used on Windows Operating System.

The GIMP is extensible and expandable. This means that it is designed to be augmented with plugins and extension to do just anything. So you can install plug-in to make become more useful towards your needs.
