Photoshop Alternative To Manipulate Image

Adobe photoshop is a well known premium software for manipulating photo or images. Almost every designer out there uses adobe photoshop to beautify the image they capture or to create a new image. With a lot of features, there is no doubt that adobe photoshop is a software in every heart of designer.
With my zero knowledge on using those software, it would really make reluctant to pay a huge sum of money to get the software in order to learn to use it to manipulate my image. But with lots of free software available on the internet, i have found one software that suits my need for the time being. Of course until i really mastered on using manipulating image software.
